Aromas of ripe black fruit, black cherries, mocha, and vanilla spice. Good entry on the mouth, red earthy tones and cola flavors. A juicy mild palette and ripe firm tannins that give way to long finish. The 2007 growing season began with a dry and mild spring, allowing for an early budbreak and even bloom throughout the vineyards. The summer months were temperate, with only a few late heat spikes, and a couple of brief precipitation days to clean off any dust! With the lower yields and steady and mild temperatures, allowing for longer hang time, overall quality from the Oakville East Vineyards are excellent. In 2007, the wines are showing intensity of color and flavor, ripe tannin, and a seamless balance of sweetness and acid. 83% Cabernet Sauvignon, 12% Cabernet Franc, 5% Petit Verdot.
