Located in Napa Valley, Silverado Vineyards was established in 1981 by Ron and Diane Miller. Over time,
the Miller family has acquired a rich and diverse mosaic of six sustainably farmed vineyards, each
selected for its terroir and flavors it contributes to the wines. Silverado's focus on quality includes
significant and continuous improvements in the cellar beginning with their early use of extended
maceration (a common technique today), and their recent investment in customized, small, stainless
steel barrels for its Chardonnay program. Winemaker Jon Emmerich graduated from the University of
California, Davis in 1987 with a BS in Fermentation Science. He is only the second winemaker to serve at
Silverado and during his tenure, Jon has grown Silverado's reputation for quality and consistency.
